I found this plots to be very interesting and the way it described Kuching Waterfront as being the most beautiful and most precious place ever... I can't agree more on the plots as this is how my city; Kuching and it's waterfront to be very marvellous... I would like people across the worldwide to know where is my city and how it was looks like.
Kuching Waterfront, which lines the south bank of Sarawak River, is THE place to sample the city's cosmopolitan vibes. During the daytime, it offers scenic views of the Astana, Fort Margherita and the Malay kampungs across the river; but night-time is when it really comes alive! It seems like half of the city is out meeting friends, watching a show, or just shooting the breeze. For something different, why not try jetty-hopping along the river on the local Penambang boats, and savour the different sights, sounds (and delicacies!) between the two riverbanks.
A result of a major restoration and land reclamation project, Kuching Waterfront today is the most popular meeting place in the city. Drab warehouses have been replaced with an almost 900m long esplanade, beautifully landscaped and dotted with wooden benches, food stalls, restaurants and entertainment facilities. A number of older buildings have been preserved and incorporated into the design, including the Chinese History Museum, the Sarawak Steamship Building, an open-air theatre and the Square Tower. Modern additions to the Waterfront include a restored Chinese pavilion, colourful musical fountains, and a number of modern sculptures.
[14/09/2013] - The day I went to ventured Kuching Waterfront.
Me and my aunt had parked her car behind the Harbourview Hotel and from there, we walked across the streets and reached the shoplots opposite the Chinese museum at the waterfront. Then, we first planned which to start first and both of us decided to crossed to Chinese museum and started to walked from there. Then, we saw some groups of people playing games (Treasure Hunt) at the garden. It's fun by looking at them playing those child games and after awhile, we proceed our journey again. We walked through the pathway while viewing the riverbank.. It was so hot that time but the slight breeze always makes me feel so nice.. It's cool when I saw some boats was taking tourists for a tour around the riverbank and then I started to snapshot photos of the riverbank and even shooting video on it...

Talking about Penambang boats, they also offered for a touring cruise like I'm explained it before and it seems they had a promotional price on that day. You can ride any kinds of our traditional boats they have there and it also included departure and duration times..

Penambang Boats nowadays.

Tada~~~ Our most luxurious and beautiful cruise~
Sarawak River Cruise or known as
Harbour Cruises. They runs daily and sunset cruises. They also do 2 types of cruises:
- city sightseeing cruise from 2.30 to 3.30 (inclusive of free flow orange drink, and 1 hour cruising) RM 45 for adults and RM 25 for children
- signature sightseeing sunset cruise (inclusive of orange drink, traditional sarawakian kuih lapis (layered cake), live commentary and cultural performance at 5.30 PM to 7.00PM (RM60 for adults and RM30 for children).
This cruise boat also caters to functions, parties etc which includes buffet meals.

After sightseeing all the cruise boats, we headed to snapshot of more photos like the new DUN complex.
This is our New Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Building or we called it in short form as DUN. The distinctive "payung" (umbrella) roof of the new DUN complex is an iconic landmark for residence on the banks of Sarawak River in Petra Jaya, Kuching. I myself haven't going to the DUN yet.

And then, I also snapshot 2 photos of the History Walk but I only snapshot history number 7 and 11.
And these indicates my end of journey from Kuching Waterfront and then I proceed to next stop; The old Courthouse building.
So after touring around the Kuching Waterfront, we headed to the old courthouse building which sits in between Carpenter Street and India Street.

Has undergone restoration and now houses of the Sarawak Tourism Board and some cafes. You can have some relaxation and eat some delicacies of the cafe there too...

Our next stop; Kuching's old town and oldest general post office at Carpenter Street.

After that, we went to Merdeka Plaza for a stroll and catch some air-conditioning and ate our afternoon snacks there.. And therefore, my whole journey ends there...
